Hi…the ACF Pro add on is asking for a license to get the update…we have built a large number of customed fields that cannot delete and resinstal the plug in without creating lots of work. How can we tell the plug in that we do have a license through the X Theme and get the update…

Again. The question is: How to trigger the auto update of the plug in form the X Theme codo..is there a license number we need to use.

Hi there,

You don’t need to activate ACF in order to update the plugin. Right now, the update option is not available in the plugins page because even if the most recent version of ACF is 5.4.6 in the vendor’s side, the most recent tested version and supported by the theme is still 5.4.5. Once we released an update for 5.4.6 on our end, you should be able to update the plugin.

We will, though we can’t release updates the same time the author release it. It will still need testing, but we’ll surely release newer versions.

How do we know what your latest approved and tested version is, not just for this but for all the plugins you have on X? I have also a prompt to update AFC Pro w/ a Licenese.

Is there a list somewhere so I know to update or not to update pending your testing?
I have wanting me to update:
WPBaker Visual Composer
Slider Revolution
ACF Pro (I also have ACF for some reason, this site is pretty old and your old X theme didn’t come w/ AFC, and I had installed it a few years back).
Ninja forms (I had updated this and had to roll back)

What do you mean? All the bundled plugins updates are provided by us, you can only install update once we provide it. Would you mind providing the issues you’re getting with the updates? You can also check our changelog to see what’s been added and changed for specific X version. https://theme.co/changelog/
