    what do i have incorrect? Its showing the icon code when closed, but shows the icon when open.

    css to change hover color would be great as well

    Thanks for writing in! Icons are showing on my end, open or closed. Please clarify

    You can add this on your custom CSS for hover color.

    .x-accordion-heading:hover a,
.x-accordion-heading .x-accordion-toggle:hover:before {
	color: red;
}
