    Hi Support,

    Happy Easter to all.

I set up correctly an 404 page following your procedure and activated in extension correctly BUT I just noticed that when there is an error, the 404 shown is not mine but a generic one having a link to mine (!)… .htaccess file is also setup correctly I guess.

Can I have your advise please?

    Gianni

    Hi There,

Thanks for the details. Upon checking your setup, this could be a plugin conflict. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Thanks for your detailed response and screenshots!

It seems you are using a custom approach to show a custom 404 page by making changes to the .htaccess file. You do not need that. Simply use our Custom 404 Extension and attach your custom created 404 page under its settings.

Now, if you are facing the conflict as mentioned in your point #4, this issue could occur if you don’t have selected any page template. So please select Blank – Container | Header, Footer page template and the issue will be fixed. To learn more about page template, refer to our following knowledge base article: https://community.theme.co/kb/page-templates/

    Thank you!
