    I’m trying to add regular size Facebook, Instagram, twitter, and pinterest icons to my sidebar and also to widgets in the footer. Twitter seems to work, but Facebook doesn’t because it talks about adding javascript.

    I do have the social icons you supply working, and they are correct.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

    Thanks, but we don’t know where should we login. Please provide your url too.

    For the meantime, you can actually add text widget at your sidebar, and then inside that widget, add share shortcode. http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/entry-share/

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

    Please add following code in Text type widget in order to display it in sidebar :

    <div class="x-social-global"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/TravelingIsAVerb" class="facebook" title="Facebook" target="_blank"><i class="x-icon-facebook-square"></i></a><a href="https://twitter.com/TravelingsaVerb" class="twitter" title="Twitter" target="_blank"><i class="x-icon-twitter-square"></i></a><a href="https://instagram.com/travelingisaverb" class="instagram" title="Instagram" target="_blank"><i class="x-icon-instagram"></i></a><a href="https://www.pinterest.com/travelingisaver/traveling-is-a-verb/" class="pinterest" title="Pinterest" target="_blank"><i class="x-icon-pinterest-square"></i></a></div>

    Hope it helps.

    Hi

    Thanks

    That does put the icons there, but they are the same size as on the top bar and footer. How would i get the “usual” icons that are bigger, like the Twitter bird you see on everyone’s site, and so on.

    Is there also a way to control the color of these icons

    Hi there,

    Thanks for updating the thread! You can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer or in your child theme’s style.css file.

    /* Icon size for social share */
    .x-share-options i {
        font-size: 30px;
    }

    /* Colors for social icons */
    i.x-icon-facebook-square {
        color: #3b5998;
    }

    i.x-icon-twitter-square {
        color: #00aced;
    }

    i.x-icon-google-plus-square {
        color: #dd4b39;
    }

    i.x-icon-linkedin-square {
        color: #007bb6;
    }

    i.x-icon-pinterest-square {
        color: #cb2027;
    }

    i.x-icon-reddit-square {
        color: #5f99cf;
    }

    i.x-icon-envelope-square {
        color: #000000;
    }

    Note: the above are the official colors of these icons, but you can change them to whatever you like. Hope this helps – thanks!

    Thanks so much. we are getting really close!

    Is there a similar way to change the size of the icons that actually let the visitor follow me on Facebook for example. The ones now in the side bar are still small, the same size as in the footer. Can I make them the large size as well?

    Thanks for all your help!

    Hi There,
    Try adding following CSS under Appearance > Customize > Custom > CSS:

    .textwidget .x-social-global {
    text-align: center;
    }
    .textwidget .x-social-global a {
    font-size: 35px;
    margin-right: 10px;
    }

    Hope it helps.

    That worked, what about increasing the size in the footer?
