    Hi,

    I have selected an image as graphic in the featured box.
    This image has its alt tag in Media library, however it is not passed to source code, so there is no alt tag on the page.

    The same is with the flip card element, when image is selected.

    This should be fixed in a future release.

    Hi,
    I have the same question, because for SEO optimization I have to insert an ALT in every images TAGS, if the image is not only for layout decoration (in this case no ALT content is the best practice).

    Thank you

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks for updating. Note that the image in the Feature Box is also treated as icon. It’s like a small size custom icon instead of the Font Icon so that user can upload their own icon. However as image tags should have ALT tag so we appreciate your feedback and already forwarded to our developer. Hopefully that will be added on next release.

    Cheers!

    Add me to the list of users requesting this feature. Alt text in general needs to be overhauled in X. It would be great to not have to place it in the wp media library and in Cornerstone.

    Hello There,

    We kindly ask that our users not bump threads as stated in our support policy. Since we answer questions from oldest to newest and bumping a thread makes it appear as brand new, this will only serve to lengthen our response time. Replies in the forum can take up to 24 hours during the week, but oftentimes we are able to get to questions much quicker than that. We request that our users wait patiently while we work our way through the forum as we can assure you that all questions will be addressed as soon as possible.

    Cheers!

    This is also affecting SEO/WPO for us.

    Is there a way to inject the ALT tag using custom CSS (as a work-around)?

    Hello There,

    Thanks for writing in!

    You can use Bulk SEO Image plugin to assign alt tags to images.

    We have the tags on our images in media. But when feature box shows the image, there is no HTML ALT tag when you inspect.

    Is there any way to manually put the ALT tags in when using images in feature box?

    Hello There,

    Even if you added tags in the media section, it still not be included in the feature box element because the element only accepts the image path and nothing else. This is why there is no alt tags on the page. There is no other way to manually add an alt tag for the image in this feature box element. This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.

    Thanks!

    Guys while I see how this is a pain there is an easy work around.

    Set the feature box icon to image.
    Do not select an image.
    Add an image directly above the feature box.
    Set the image size. {max-width: 150px;}
    Center it. {display: block; margin: 0 auto;}
    Give it an alt tag and you are done.

    Worked for me.
