    Hello,

    Details:

    Name: JFantasyBooks
    Site: Fantasy-Updates
    Site Url: https://fantasy-updates.live
    WordPress Version: 4.6
    X Version: 4.6.1
    Cornerstone Plugin Version: 1.30

    Note:
    I am not sure if this is an X-theme question or a Cornerstone question, but here goes.

    Problem:

    I would like to host an index that is sorted by Letters, ex. A, B, C, D…

    The problem comes is that I would like to have a drop down/ collapsible bar like Accordian where once you click on it, it shows all the sections and content of all the indexed content that have titles that fit a particular letter/category.

    Unfortunately, I can’t include the Cards Element in Accordian. I tried looking at the raw code shown in the editor and input it into accordian. Unfortunately the cards don’t show well, and some Accordian sections are hard to find. Is there an easier way of doing this? A drag and drop?

    Would you be able to help me with this issue?

    Thank You

    Hi There,

    Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

    Cheers!

    Sorry for the confusion Friech,

    Basically, I am looking for something Like the Accordian Element. It doesn’t have to be accordian, but can be another type of drop down menu within the content area.

    The only difference is that I can drag and drop and not be forced to use shortcodes. Even with shortcodes, like the card element shortcode, they don’t always show visually within Accordian.

    Any suggestions to an alternative?

    And if not, is there a way to get Accordian to look structured in various blocks like you see in here: https://fantasy-updates.live/#1023

    Hello There,

    Thank you for the clarifications! It seems that you will need a more custom bar or an element that enables you to show/hide sections or rows within the content area. What you might do could be like a button and as soon as you click on it, it will show or hide a section. This is very helpful because you can make use of the skeleton mode and simply drag and drop elements within the preview areas thus eliminating the task of copy shortcodes back and forth, inserting the shortcodes in accordion element or other elements.

    It could possible be that you use a custom class my-content within a section or row and then also need a button element, of course with a custom class my-button, for you to toggle (show or hide). With a nifty JS code, maybe you can have something like this:

    $(function(){
      $('.my-button').click(function(){
        $('.my-content').toggle();
      });
    })(jQuery);

    As this is all custom development, regretfully we won’t be able to assist further. Custom development is outside the scope of our support. We’re happy to provide advice and get you started in the right direction, but you would still be responsible for the implementation.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Not at all.

    The idea is most welcome, and I will try to implement it.

    Thank You.
