Your theme (X – Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files

I am getting this message “Your theme (X – Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files.” Will you be putting out a new update soon for this? I’m not sure what to do.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! The X Child theme does not contain any WooCommerce templates. In most cases, you are the one who have added it in order to override the parents theme or the WooCommerce template. You need to find out which file is it and compare it to the newer version of the WooCommerce template.

Thank you.

Thank you, I have sent you a private message with the login. I have not edited any php files in my child theme, just css.

Hi There,

It’s better to use secure note option below your post to submit your login credentials rather than sending directly to our staff, so that any of our available staff can look into your issue.

Thanks!

I don’t see an option for a secure note in my reply window so I wasn’t sure how to do it. Ill attach a secure note to my last message, sorry about that.

Hi There,

You have correctly submitted those information using a secure note. However, your site’s login page is not loading due to an error. Could you please confirm ?

Thanks!

I will change the password and send another secure note. My Woo commerce product page is looking really strange, which might have something to do with this: https://aehs.ca/shop/

I only have four products in there but they’re all squished to one side and appearing as 1 in the first column, 2 in the second, 1 in the fourth. It would be great if I could just get them all to be in one row.

Your site’s down. Please check.

Please check for the following also:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

Thanks.

I can see it ok - is it still down?

Hello There,

Yes your domain is still not accessible at the moment.

Please be advised that we have released X 5.2.3 and Cornerstone 2.1.4. It is now available in automatic updates. You can now update to this latest version. This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

This should resolve your issue.

Hi again,

This site appears to be working fine on my end, clients are using it. I’m not clear on why you wouldn’t be able to see it. Maybe try it with http and not https? I am not using any caching plugins.

thanks again,

Joni

Hey Joni,

Your site does not allow access from our location. Support team members are based from different parts of the world so to avoid delays next time, please disable IP restrictions. I have used a VPN to log in to your site. I checked and I don’t see the notification anymore. I double checked WooCommerce > Status and there is no outdated files. It looks like you’ve already updated your child theme.

Thanks.

Hello again, I’m getting this same notice again about outdated Woo Commerce templates in the theme. If I scroll down to the bottom of the report, I get the following list:

thanks for your help.

Archive template: Your theme has a woocommerce.php file, you will not be able to override the woocommerce/archive-product.php custom template since woocommerce.php has priority over archive-product.php. This is intended to prevent display issues.
Overrides x/woocommerce/cart/cross-sells.php,
x/woocommerce/loop/loop-end.php,
x/woocommerce/loop/loop-start.php,
x/woocommerce/loop/pagination.php,
x/woocommerce/notices/error.php version 3.3.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.5.0,
x/woocommerce/notices/notice.php version 1.6.4 is out of date. The core version is 3.5.0,
x/woocommerce/notices/success.php version 3.3.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.5.0,
x/woocommerce/single-product/related.php,
x/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/tabs.php,
x/woocommerce/single-product/up-sells.php,
x/woocommerce/single-product-reviews.php version 3.2.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.5.0

Hey Joni,

Yes, that is a known concern but the currently listed WooCommerce compatible version is 3.5.1 so there might not be a compatibility issue even the templates aren’t updated yet.

The WC templates might be updated in the succeeding theme releases.

Thanks.
