Yoast SEO stopped working (on a page without classic elements)

Hi! I have asked this question before here: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/yoast-seo-seo-not-available-solved-content-is-not-been-read-not-solved/44645

That time and thanks to your help, I discovered it worked well on the “Chrome Incognito Tab”.

Unfortunately, it does not seem to work anymore. I have purged the cache of Cloudflare and Supercacher like last time, but it did not fix anything.

The page is: https://www.edinventa.com/heromask-idiomas-regalo-original-para-ninos-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-anos/

Yoast SEO says:

As you can guess the page contains more than 0 words, so it means that Yoast SEO is simply not working anymore.

I don’t have more ideas to solve it

Any idea from your experience?

Thanks so much

Carlos

Hello Carlos,

Thanks for asking.

I see that the page link you have shared does not has Classic element. However, as you are facing the issue, please try out following solutions:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Yoast SEO is not in the compatibility list…

Hey Carlos,

Sorry for the confusion. I checked your page and I don’t get that 0 text result.

It looks like there’s left over cache somewhere because the result is different on my end. Please try clearing caches again and only work in Incognito mode when working with Yoast SEO.

Thanks.

That’s incredible weird. I have not only cleared cache and cookies and open it in incognito mode, but I have also tried in Safari, Firefox and event installed a new Internet Browser: Opera. They all says that 0 words:

What could be happening??? Than incredible weird!!!

PS: I have also asked in their community forum: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/yoast-seo-dont-work-in-any-browser-of-my-laptop-but-works-in-another-laptop/

Hello @educainventions,

I am another staff checking in and this is really weird. I have checked your page and I got the same results as with Christian. I use Chrome and when I edit your page I got this:

There could be something with your browser that prevents it from displaying. I am not sure though.

Hi. You have to expand the accordion “Palabra clave objetivo” (Focus keyword in English) to see it:

Thanks

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

This is what I’m seeing, and seems to be good.

I tried both English and Spanish version of the page.

Thanks!

I’ve not been able to solve that problem yet. I’m writing you because I have detected another problem with Yoast SEO and the Pro theme:

I’m not sure if you can see. So I’m going to explain:

In addition, I can see several URLs duplicated: https://www.edinventa.com/packs/. That seems related to: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/error-translating-page-with-wpml-coming-from-the-pro-theme-files/46193/5

It looks like Yoast SEO reads image tags inside the WordPress editor like its analysis. Since V2 elements do not output HTML in the editor, Yoast SEO can’t detect the images. Can you try using Classic Image Elements. If this still does not work, we will need to post this as feature or integration request.

Please open a separate thread because it is hard to track issues in a mixed topic thread. Please also provide screenshots of the duplicated URLs to give us some more context.

Thanks.

Hi. For me, everything is the same issue: Yoast SEO doesn’t work well. I think probably both issues are related…

If I change to classic elements, your mate told me it won’t work with Yoast SEO. That’s why I changed all the elements to the new version. I don’t want to go back!

Screenshot amplified of the previous screenshot:

You can see the actual xml here: https://www.edinventa.com/page-sitemap.xml

Hope it helps

That is correct. We have not taken into account this XML feature of Yoast SEO though. Regretfully, the XML feature of Yoast SEO will only work only with image inserted in the Classic Text element.

The most I could do for now is to post this case in our issue tracker so our development team would be made aware. They will also be the one to decide if Yoast Sitemap will be supported.

Please also note that Yoast SEO only reads the content. Images added in the widgets is not taken into account also so it’s not really 100% accurate in terms of grading your page. Your site will still be analyzed properly by search engines.

Thanks.

Do you recommend an alternative tool to Yoast SEO compatible with Pro? Maybe an external tool or service able to suggest SEO recommendations?

Thanks

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

I can’t personally recommend as we’re not familiar how their analysis process works. This is already added to our issue tracker, for now, you can try other SEO plugin but we can’t cover them here in the forum.

Thanks!
