Yoast can’t analyse the text on cornerstone

Hi,

we have the latest version of theme, cornerstone, Wordpress and yoast.

But Yoast can’t recognise the text or the hyperlinks within the page.

here is an example of page: https://www.shadingspecialists.co.uk/internal-blinds/vertical-blinds/

and Yoast results: https://prnt.sc/lclkel

Please help.

Hello Pierre,

Thanks for asking.

We released Yoast SEO compatibility Pro 2.1.0, X 6.1.0, Cornerstone 3.1.0. As per the screenshot I can see issues. At this moment I need to check your website setup to take a closer look. Can you please share website login details in secure note so that we can take a closer look?

Thanks.

Hi there,
Please see the secure note.
Thanks

Hi There,

Please note that SEO Yoast and Search Engines read your site differently.

SEO Yoast checks raw HTML code while Search Engines reads the complete generated HTML code.

I check the pages created using this site - http://www.seoreviewtools.com/internal-link-analyzer/

These are the results and everything seems ok:

Input URL: https://www.shadingspecialists.co.uk/internal-blinds/vertical-blinds/

Total links: 218

External links: 28 - (13%) of Total links

Duplicate links: 118 - (54%) of Total links

Empty anchor: 5

No alt tag: 0

Nofollow count (Line-through): 4

Regards!

Hi @thai,

We also have issues with the word recognition.

if you see it says that we don’t have the specific keyword on the “first paragraph” for the page, but we do…
can you please check?

Hi There,

It’s SEO Yoast limitation, it doesn’t analyze the actual page when rendered but it checks the raw content of an editor. Example, this is [image] shortcode, SEO Yoast will not recognize that. That’s because [image] is not an image, [image] is only processed and converted to <img> when rendered on the live page.

Hence, their basis of analysis is not accurate and this issue is been there, ever since they changed that standard and ever since the first version of a cornerstone. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/31289975/yoast-seo-plugin-not-recognising-content-from-the-wordpress-template

Search engines don’t check your sites internals like raw content or database, they check your live pages’ final output. I’m not sure why SEO Yoast does that.

Thanks!

Thanks,

can you recommend another SEO Plugin that works 100% with cornerstone?

Hi Pierre,

I can’t personally recommend any SEO plugin as I’m not sure how their internal works. But this issue should be fixed especially for the image. And it’s working just fine on my installation.

Perhaps you can disable all active optimization from your site and test it again.

Or, simply use classic text element in cornerstone and add the text there, and even insert image from media library (which will result to <img> instead of cornerstone image element). Then test it again.

Thanks!
