X - Under Construction extension breaks gzip for HTML output

Hey there,

My performance plugin reported gzip not working properly for HTML output, and after doing a plugin conflict test I found that disabling X - Under Construction fixed the problem.

Hi there @JvP,

Are you using a caching plugin to enable Gzip compression? It may not work with Under Construction, primarily because it modifies the WP_Query to be able to output the correct header code (503).

If you could let us know which plugin etc you’re using.

Try disabling the plugins to check which one is causing the conflict.

I’ve done that already, see my original post. X - Under Construction is the culprit.
