Hi, Have updated site to SSL https. Updated DB wp_options etc.

Rev slider now corrupted. Cant activate plugin, generates load of errors. Not sure what to do.

Thanks

Hi @airflowsw,

Please install the Better Search Replace plugin then do the following:

search for http://example.com and replace it with https://example.com and
search for http:\/\/example.com and replace it with https:\/\/example.com

Replace example.com with the domain name of your site.

Thanks. OK, Ive done that and a load of changes have been made.
Still wont activate Rev Slider.

Hi @airflowsw,

Would you mind providing your admin and FTP login credentials in the secure note? It seems related to this https://www.saotn.org/fatal-error-operator-not-supported-strings-php-71/

For the meantime, please make sure to delete your current revolution slider and install the latest one through X > Validation page.

Thanks!

OK thanks. Have done that…
When i disable current Rev Slider plugin and try to download/install from X>Validation, it fails and generates the following error message
The plugin does not have a valid header.

Note the previous web developer didn’t update X Theme ever so its running 4.1.1 at the moment! Pretty old. But when I update to a newer version the site formatting all goes wrong. .Is this a know n problem when updating? I’m reluctant to do this just now unless there is no alternative if this is causing the issue?

Hello @airflowsw,

May we have the permission to update the theme and plugins to the latest versions? Most of the time, out dated plugin will create issues with the site.

Only after the update we can check for further investigation.

Please let us know what you think.

Yes that’s fine. I did update X theme but it corrupted the page layout in places, so reverted back. Presume this can be fixed also?
Thanks

Hi @airflowsw,

Could you please double check on your FTP account?

I was unable to connect:

Thank you.

Hi. I’ve just updated secure note in previous response. Try that.
Thanks

Hi There @airflowsw

Now that we don’t get 425, invalid address given error. However, we’re still getting the following error added to the secure note below. Probably there’s firewall blocking our requests as well which you need to check.

In the meantime, can you please download All Files from your Themeforest account.

Then once you unzip it, you should be able to locate revslider.zip file under Extensions directory. Unzip revslider.zip file and upload it into your server /wp-content/plugins/ by connecting through your FTP. This will replace any corrupted files or missing files and then try to activate your Slider Revolution plugin through your WordPress backend and see if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi,
