X Theme Jumping as website is scrolled up and down!

Hi,

I have been very frustrated recently due to a website problem! Our website is jumping as we scroll up and down, and it’s probably the reason why we have a high bounce rate and it’s affecting our business massively with potential clients!

We are using slider revolution with X theme, well now Pro. We know the slider revolution plugin is not activated at this moment in time because we thought it was included in the bundle with X theme. The plugin version we have is 5.4.7.3. Does anyone know if it’s due to the plugin activation not been completed, or is it something to do with X Theme? We have had problems with X theme anyway when trying to save content with error messages stating it was not possible! We need an urgent resolution to this!!!

Hey @4kFreelance,

I checked your site and both on desktop and my phone and I have not experienced any jumping issue. Would you mind providing more details? If you could provide a recording of the issue, that would be helpful.

Slider Revolution does not need activation because it is bundled in X and Pro. The Not Activated status is normal for bundled plugins and it is unlikely to cause the issues you’re facing.

Before we investigate, please do the following general solutions first.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  7. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

If nothing helps, please give us WP admin and FTP access in a Secure Note.

Thanks.
