X theme ignoring H1 Typekit styles

So I created a typekit project. Got it all synced with the theme. Under options > Typography I enable Font Manager.
I then go to Headings and tell it to select “Headings” font. But when I use a Heading tag it doesn’t apply any styles to it.
I’ve been messing with it for a while and cannot figure out why its not working.

Thank you for reaching out to us. This could happen due to multiple factors, please check the following first:

1. Make sure your domain is in the list of published domains for the kit you’re using. You can go to your Typekit account and verify it

2. Make sure your Typekit ID is correct, please also read Adobes official Typekit documentation here https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/using/add-fonts-website.html

3. Go to X > Theme Options > Typography. Turn off the Font Manager options and save the settings. Then Turn it on again and set the Heading font to the one you have already set in Font Manager and save the settings.

4. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

5. Remove custom CSS and deactivate your child theme and switch to parent theme (take a complete backup first).
