X Theme Ethos Stack - Prevent Full Sized Featured Image Being Used As Scaled Thumbnail On Blogroll / Home Page

Hi, Is it possible to prevent / override X Theme from using full sized featured images added to the head of a post as a scaled thumbnail versions on the home page (Blog Roll) in the Ethos stack. This will in effect increase the size of the home page and slow loading time i.e. The page will load full-sized but scaled versions of the thumbnails. Is it possible to use a smaller separate image for the blogroll thumbnails?

In order to have the thumbnail images on the blogroll you have to set a featured image in a post but this automatically adds the same full sized image it to the head of the post as well as uses it for the thumbnail.

It’s possible and will require some significant changes into the theme files which falls outside the scope of support we can offer. However, you can get started by making changes in /wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/setup.php.
