Always make sure to use the compatible versions and update both X and Cornerstone to the latest version to avoid such conflicts and potential errors. I updated Cornerstone, but it’s not letting me update the theme. I get this error “Unable to create directory uploads/2018/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?” Help? Thank you!

Unable to create directory is related with incorrect file permission. I suggest you to please take a look at following articles to resolve the issue:
