WPML Issues with X and Cornerstone

Hello Themeco Team,

I am having an issue with using X and WPML Together.

Our Website has both a German(default) and English(Translation) Site which has been online for a couple of months now.

When reviewing them they display the correct language as well as having a different ID on each translation. However, when we want to make some changes, we receive either the German page in the ID for the english page, or when we apply the /en/x/… tag to the URL we get a very outdated English page on both the German ID and the English ID. Interestingly enough, when previewing the english page in the content tab in X, we actually see the correct and up-to-date Translation of the pages. Here are some screenshots to display the issue we are having.

We are currently updating our WPML Plugins to see if this fixes the issues, but do you have any Idea why this Issue is occurring in the first place? Are there any solutions? We already found a similar Forum post, but the fix didn’T help there and the support mentioned opening a ticket in case the issue still persist.

It looks like you’re using an old version of X and Cornerstone. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

Also do the following:

  1. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  2. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  3. Reset your permalinks by going to WP Admin Menu > Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

We have updated all Plugins and checked for any conflicts. We also reset our Permalinks, but nothing changed on the situation we were in.

Given the page is already live and has traffic going through we decided to retranslate every page from scratch using a clean WPML install after all updates were done.
