WooCoommerce 3.0+ Compatibility

I and on Pro w/child - recently updated to WooCommerce 3.12 - having issues with uploading product images and updating products. I contacted Woo support and they point to Pro:

“Sorry for your troubles. So from WooCommerce 3.0+, it has started to use Select2 version 4.0+. And that is incompatible with Select2 version 3.0. So if you theme is still loading Select2 version 3.0, this error will occur.”

Can you confirm - or reply to their claim on Select2 versions?

I’m attaching the screen shots of the two image library options we see. Note the issue only occurs in Woo product pages - where we see an alternative media handling page. This is not an issue and is not effecting post or page editing in Pro.

WOO bad image library view:

Pro good image library view:

Thoughts? Thanks- Todd

I reverted my WOO updates and the issue resolved by returning to pre WOO 3.0 version - but would be interested if you have seen this in other applications - Thanks- Todd

Hey there,

Would you mind giving us the steps to replicate this issue? I can upload product images properly in my test site.

I’m using the latest compatible version listed at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195

Thanks.

Thanks Christian - I have reverted back to WOO version Version 2.6.14 - This happens when I Update to WOO version 3.1.2

Only affects WOO product editing pages. Where the WOO bad Image above becomes the default media library - again only on WOO product pages - all other parts of the site are using the same image library view that you have. I can replicate it on my dev if you want a closer look. - Thanks- Todd

Hi Todd,

Can you try installing the plugin version that is compatible with the theme? See our [changelog.]https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195). Same with Christian, I don’t have that issue: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbjwhgInOp. If you can replicate it on your dev with Woocommerce Version: 3.1.1, let us know so we can double check. You may want to share your credentials using a secure note.

Private note added with site credentials - this is a clone of the live site with Woo updates applied =- Thanks- Todd

Hello There,

Thanks for providing the ftp credentials. Would you mind providing the WordPress access as well so that we can take a closer look? Meanwhile, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks RueNel - we can close this - I was able to eliminate a conflict by code - Thanks- Todd

Thank you for updating us Todd and glad this is now sorted out!

If you wouldn’t mind sharing the details of the issue and where the conflict is, it might help others that will encounter same issue.

Cheers.
