Woocommerce and child theme

I have made a child theme for X and have been using that. But I installed woocommerce for a shop page, and now that I have installed it, and tweaked all the settings so it looks like I want it to, I now see that all the woocommerce files are stored under the main X folder, not the X-child folder. Do I need to change this? And if so, what’s the best way to do that now that I have already made a lot of modifications?

Thanks for asking.

Have you also made the changes in Theme files? If yes then you need to place those files under child theme in same order. You will have to create the folder. As in case of updating the theme, those modifications will get overridden. More information can be found on following post:
