My site is at https://jamesb.com. For some reason, my widgets keep disappearing. It happens very randomly. Sometimes they stay up for a few days, sometimes a few weeks, but I’ve had to rebuild my entire sidebar at least a half dozen times now and cannot for the life of me figure out what’s happening. It’s not just text widgets like another thread mentioned either. All the widgets just disappear and it doesn’t save them in the inactive widgets area.

Kindly clone your website to a staging server and change the theme of your website from x to something else. Then try testing for the disappearing of the widgets and see if it is there again.
This way you will be sure that if it is actually something related to our theme or not. We do not have such a report and did not encounter such a problem in our installations, that is why I strongly suspect that it should be something related to your environment.
Kindly also check for third party plugins and try to test if there is any conflict, as you said that this problem may occur in the different time span you should have a staging website to actually test it in long term to make sure to find the problem cause.

I see you have plenty of license, so I’m not sure on which site you’re experiencing this issue.
Could you please open up a new thread and post your site/page URL that you’re having this issue along with a screenshot if possible, so that we can look into your issue.
In the meantime, make sure that you’re fully updated including X theme & Plugins. You can check the latest version numbers from here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195).
Check your PHP version on your server and make sure that you’re using PHP v5.6.x or later to avoid possible incompatibility issues.
