Why have you not caught up to WooCommerce?

I’m just wondering why the latest X updates are so many versions behind WooCommerce (5, to be exact)? It is now up to 3.5.6 and your compatibility page still says you only support 3.5.1. It’s been months since X supported the current version of WooCommerce.

I’m sure it’s hard to keep up but can you shed some light on this? It bothers me to always see that “you-need-to-update” message. All of those updates of WooCommerce have a ton of bug fixes and some new features. It would be nice to be up-to-date on that.

Thanks!

Hi There @creatorofstuff

Thanks for writing in! We have our own internal process of checking compatibility issues before publishing it to our official X/Pro compatible version information guide (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195).

Since there are so many point releases, it will take some time to complete those testing process. However if there is any major security update, we will allocate more priority on those to speed up the process.

For the moment, I would suggest you to always check our version information guide shared above and our official change-log (https://theme.co/changelog/) before updating X/Pro theme or any related plugin.

Thank you for your understanding!

Yes, I learned the hard way a long time ago to check your compatibility page before updating. I was only asking because WooCommerce 3.5.1 is such a relatively old version.

Hopefully you will catch up to WooCommerce soon.

Thanks!

Yes, once the compatibility testing is completed, we will release update for WooCommerce.

Thanks for understanding.
