Thanks for writing in! You are seeing all these errors and it causes a duplicate header responses. This is because debug mode is enabled. You will need to disable the debug mode to resolve this issue. You can do that by opening wp-config.php and adding:
define('WP_DEBUG', false);

When you revisit the page, you should no longer be seeing any error. If that does not help, please provide us access to your WP dashboard and ftp login credentials only if necessary.

I did have wp_debug set to true when I got the file. What occurs when it is set to true is BOTH the frontend and the backend get the white screen.
I had to turn it off again to get the frontend to display. Regardless, I still get the white screen when I try to access the backend (That’s with wp_debug set to false). It’s set to false now and I have the same issue and I already know the issue is the cornerstone plugin, not an interaction…
This is from the error log (wp-content/error.log) on the server on December 28.

I read the error and it is related to Cornerstone upgrade issue. Please try deleting Cornerstone in your plugins folder then install it again via X > Overview

I’m not sure what is meant by “via X > Overview” I can’t get to the backend unless I deactivate all the plugins. I assume you are saying install the Cornerstone plugin again. Can I just download the X theme and get the cornerstone.zip from there? Then delete the old cornerstone plugin, and upload the new copy of cornerstone.zip

Yes, you can locate the Cornerstone.zip file under your X theme (X/framework/plugins/).
Delete the old Cornerstone plugin by connecting through your FTP and then try to access your backend. If you’re able to access, just head over to X -> Overview section and wait for few seconds to automatically install the latest version. Or else you can unzip cornerstone.zip file and upload into your WordPress plugins directory as well.

Actually, I have access to the server. I’ll deactivate the plugins in the database. Then I can get to the backend. At that point, I’ll delete the old cornerstone plugin and add a new plugin using a fresh cornerstone.zip I got from my apex Account (from downloading X and locating cornerstone.zip)

I just did it. It didn’t go so well. I was able to get to the backend. Then I deleted the old cornerstone and uploaded and activated a new cornerstone.zip . All seemed OK until I looked at the frontend. I saw the links in vertical form (in other words the page was unrecognizable). If I deactivate X-child (activate the parent theme, the site on the frontend looks relatively normal, except much of the text is missing.
Of course I took into account I didn’t have some of the plugins activated.
I need to Restore the site and database so the frontend is ok again. Then I’ll be right back where I started. I can’t leave the site down…
Would you mind testing the update in a staging server first so we could check the issue without affecting your live site? Please follow our update guide here.

The staging site (Clone) is http://dev.bustersvision.org This issue initially reported in this thread exists on the dev site as well. Please see the initial description. What I was saying is even if I restore the site, I still can’t access the backend. I don’t care if it’s updated or not. I just want a site where the frontend looks like it does now, but I want to be able to access the backend.
When you use FTP, be certain you are in DEV folder. There are several subdomains, each one is a live site.

I also noticed that you are using X 4.6.4 and yet most of the files and folders from X5.x.x is present. Please delete your X theme and re install a fresh copy. You can download it in your dashboard(https://theme.co/apex/dashboard). This is the only way we can resolve any issues. Please do not worry about your previous modifications, we can add it back later on since all of the changes will take place in your dev or staging site.
