Want text snipet from recent post

I am using the ICON style and wanting to display the last 4 posts but I see no option to display a snippet of text from the post, Just the featured image and a date. How do I get it to display a snippet of the text from the post?

That worked great, thank you. One last question, is there a way to restrict the number of letters or sentances is extracts for the snippet?

Hi Houston,

You can set the Excerpt Length under Theme Options > Blog.
