Viewport Width dimension

I am not able to use VH & VW in the footer section.

I have text in my footer that I would like to resize to be 80% of viewport width. But I see no options in the tooltip to select VW. See video: https://www.screencast.com/t/vFIf3oNKJt

Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

Thank you
JoAnn

Hi JoAnn,

Thanks for writing in! Upon checking, I see that you’re using an older version of Pro theme on your site. You can check the latest version numbers from here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195) and update your site by following our guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62).

You can read all the update related bug fixes and improvements by referring to our changelog here (https://theme.co/changelog/).

Once you update your site, make sure to purge your server cache, if you’re using a caching plugin and also clear your browser cache before testing.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

I have updated the theme and cleared cache, but still do not have the viewport options. I would like the text in my footer to be responsive. As you can see in the screenshot the text is not responsive and the VW option isn’t in the dimension box. What should I do?

Hey JoAnn,

Sorry for the confusion. Viewport units are not offered in the Bar > Dimensions > Content options. For us to know what is causing that issue, please give us the URL of the page so we could check your setup.

Thanks.

The text in the footer is not responsive. How do I fix?

Hi There,

Please change the SELF FLEX option the container contains the text element to: Fill Space Equally

Also change the width of text element to: 100%

Hope it helps

That worked! Thank you. Flex Box is going to take some getting use to.

We are glad we were able to help, you are welcome
