Updating Pro Issues (again)

Hi,

I have a couple of updating issues. I have a multisite set up for which I have never been able to get automatic updates working, in spite of advice to make sure X/Pro was installed on the main site. (ecosystemsinitiative.com)

In the absence of this, I’ve been updating manually. Recently you helped me address errors in updating to version 1.2. 4 when I received the error message: “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.” As advised I contacted godaddy and they increased the upload file size and that worked fine.

Today, I tried to update to version 1.2.7 manually but am now getting the same error message.

Could you help me reinstall and ensure that automatic updates are working?

thanks

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! If you’re getting the same error, that means the changes not affected. Could you please try installing this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-serverinfo/), then head over to Dashboard -> WP-Serverinfo section and check for the PHP Max Upload Size value.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

its reverted to 2MiB after being reset to 64miB. Strange that I’ve had no problems with manual update until version 1.2.4.

On the other issue, how can I get automatic updates working?

cheers

Hi there,

Glad that you have managed to fix the manual problem. For the automatic updates kindly enable the WordPress to debug mode so you can see what is the actual error causing the issue:

In most cases, the problem is the restriction of the customers hosting service provider to access our servers. Kindly follow the same steps mentioned in the article below:

Thank you.
