I have just updated X theme to 6.4.6 and WP to 5.0.3, but this seems to have broken my website.
It now isn’t loading.

I checked the website and I am getting a blank page. In dev tools I see 500 error message. There can be multiple reasons for 500 error message. Our first task should be to bring website online. I suggest you to please take a look at following tutorial for some solutions regarding 500 error message and let us know the outcome:

Most probably you’re running out of your PHP memory limit allocated to your server. I see currently you have PHP memory limit of 256MB. Could you please try increasing it by following our guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-increasing-php-memory-limit/16935) and re-test your issue again. Once increase the memory, please verify it by head over to your Dashboard -> WP Serverinfo area.
If you’re still having issues, then you need to enable your WP_DEBUG mode on your server and re-visit one your pages to see whether you’re getting PHP error messages which describes your issue. You can enable WP_DEBUG mode by following this guide (https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG).
To further investigate your issue, we will require your FTP credentials as well. Make sure to add it into your secure note.

What can I do now to fix this?

I have researched a bit about this issue and most possible causes I see due to corrupted WordPress core files or theme files. See (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-need-help-15/) & (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/uncaught-error-class-wp_block_type_registry-not-found/).
I have tried to troubleshoot your issue by using this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/) which allows to disable all plugins and test your site using default WordPress theme, but the issue remained.
So I would suggest you to try re-installing WordPress core by following this guide (https://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress) or you need to contact your hosting provider to troubleshoot this issue further.

I have fixed it. Deleted loads of WP files and replaced them with the latest ones, and it has worked this time! Thanks for all your help
