Update messed up my Layout

Hello,
We have your theme on a few of our websites. We are having trouble with the page layouts on a few pages after we update the theme. On this website https://staging.outdoordogsupply.com. You can see the home page and the pages leading to the products are messed up. https://staging.outdoordogsupply.com/apparel-stickers/. We were not sure what caused it so we tried it on our other site. This time only the home page went crazy. Here is a link http://staging.outdoorgarminsupply.com/

We would like to update the theme but we are not sure what is going on.

Thanks for writing in!

I checked the website and can see that you have updated X Theme and Cornerstone. However, you are using WooCommerce 3.6.4. Please downgrade WooCommerce to supported version 3.6.2 using the link shared in secure note.

After that please try following solutions:

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  • Please check with hosting company if they have server side cache enabled. If they have, please request them to clear the same so that the updated file’s can be loaded.
  • Please check the WordPress version that you have on the website. As of today latest version of WordPress is 5.5.2.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

So we are still having the problem. One of my coworkers thinks it might be Ultimate Addons so I am waiting to hear back from them but if you would not mind looking into it I would greatly appreciate it. Like I said we have a few websites with your theme and I would like to update them all.

Thanks for updating the thread.

I deactivated ultimate add plugin and now website contents are showing up though it’s shortcodes. As it’s a 3rd party plugin, providing support for the same falls outside the scope of support we can offer. I suggest you to please get in touch with plugin developer.

So ultimate add got back to me and told me this.
“I have visited your site and it seems like you are using the 6.0.3 version of WPBakery page builder which is not stable. Could you please install the latest version which is 6.0.5, if still the issue is not resolved then try to install the latest stable version which is 5.7”

Is there a way we can get the latest version of WPBakery page builder? I know this was bundled with the theme.

Thanks for updating the thread.

As of today the supported version of Visual Composer is version 6.0.3. If you want to install VC that’s stable then you can download X Theme complete package from Themeforest. Once you extract the downloaded file, under Extensions folder you you can find Visual Composer plugin. Please use that file to install VC and see how it goes.

The latest release of Visual Composer is under testing for compatibility. Once we are done with the testing we will release the update.

The Ultimate Addons is telling me we need to try version 6.0.5 to see if it fixes the problem with our pages not laying out correctly. When will this be available with the theme? If I purchase the plugin separately will this mess up the theme?

Hey @odsadmin,

Regretfully, we do not have a timeline as to when we could release version 6.0.5 of Visual Composer. But, enabling Legacy X Integration under Visual Composer’s General Settings.solves the layout issue.
