Unable to Drog+Drop Elements

I am no longer able to drag and drop elements. Elements will not leave the side-bar. The website is peclibrary.org. Thanks.

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for reaching out.

I couldn’t find any cause from the front other than revolution slider issue and ssl errors. Please follow the following troubleshooting procedures.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Turn off SSL/HTTPS and test it again, if that fixes the issue then your site needs proper HTTPS configuration and not just by using SSL plugin. For that, you’ll have to make sure both URL settings in Admin > Settings > General are configured with https and not http. Then install Better Search Replace plugin and replace all the HTTP urls related to wp-content, example, replace http://example.com/wp-content/ with https://example.com/wp-content/ from all Wordpress tables.

  5. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  6. Are related to 5#, disable revolution slider and test it. Then it also has SSL issue so please replace its http url with https url as related to #4. The old revolution slider repalce tool is now gone on v6.0, so you may need to remove and re-add your slider images to make sure they use HTTPS url.

  7. Remove custom javascript if there is any, but make sure to back it up first.

Thanks.

Thanks. It seems that Slider Rev is causing the problems.

Hello Aaron,

Please make sure that the Slider Revolution plugin is up to date. In Slider Revolution > Global Settings, play around with the JS placement of the plugin.
