"Uh oh! Content failed to save" Error message

Hi,

I am unable to save my changes in the editor. I have looked at other topics and already increased the memory limit to 512M as can be seen on the phpinfo file.

This affects all pages in all subsites of our multisite installation.

Could you please have a look and let me know what may be causing this error?

Thank you in advance!

Best

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in, please do the following first:

  • Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)

  • Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, CloudFlare and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. And please deactivate this caching features after you clear it for a while so we can troubleshot the site with no caching hindering us.

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  • Remove custom Javascript and custom templates (if any).

  • Reset your .htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  • Define a WP Debug on wp-config.php file so we can catch the error.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I have identified the plugin that is causing the issue.

It seems the Network Media Library plugin is preventing the pages to get saved. We really need this plugin since we are managing different region websites with large volume of images that are shared between all the websites.

Any chance this bug can be addressed?

Hi There @zendoproducts

Glad you were able to isolate the issue. Regretfully, we don not provide support for 3rd party plugins or scripts as it would be outside our scope of the support.

I would suggest you to contact the author of the plugin directly to resolve this issue further.

Thanks!
