I have published new kit, entered ID and refreshed, plus cleared cache, but cannot get Typekit fonts to appear in customize. what to try?

Are you using the Typekit extension? If so, please uninstall it and go to Templates > Fonts. Click the T icon located in the lower left corner and setup your Typekit font.
After that, you can select your Typekit font in the Font Template and to actually use the font, enable Font Manager in Theme Options.
I tested it and it works.
The Typekit extension would be deprecated in favor of the new font setup.
