Trouble Hiding H1

I have my titles hidden on posts using

.single-post .entry-title {
   display: none;
}

and then added my own.

The problem is that the hidden title still shows up as a H1 for SEO related things while I want my own one to. I currently have my own set to H2 until I can remove the other one.

From what I can tell I need to edit the landmark-header.php file in my child theme but it isn’t working for me. Could you provide me with specific instructions/changes for what I need to do?

Hi Eric,

Did you upload the file _landmark-header.php in wp-content\themes\x-child\framework\legacy\cranium\headers\views\integrity. If that is not the case, please upload or create the file _landmark-header.php to that location. Then copy the code below and paste it into that file.

The file location is

wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/legacy/cranium/headers/views/integrity/_landmark-header.php

and I put in what you said and changed all the h1 to h2 so it looks like

I cleared cache and it still puts whatever I have as the title of the post as a h1

That worked thanks! Is there a way to disable the heading entirely instead of putting it to h2? If not would it work to just switch it to p?
