Hello Team,

I see no option for me to edit the content part. Could anyone of you advise further as Im looking to make a blog with pro.

And here’s the live site for your reference, it has the weird frame in the background, how do we edit that part?

Best Regards

Hi @kiat87,

Thanks for writing in!

Your homepage is using the default page template. To make sure that you have a fullwidth page content, please edit the page and use the Blank - No Container | Header, Footer page template. To know more about the different page templates in the theme and how it works, please check this out:

To remove the shadow and border of the header and footer, you will need to edit the header and the footer itself. The shadow and the border can be remove in the bar settings.

We would loved to know if this has work for you. Thank you.

Yes thanks for the info and I manage to remove all the borders and change the page setting.

However how do we change the font type and font size of thegrid. to match the header and footer? as well as the search bar is way too small

Hi @kiat87,

Since the grid isn’t connected to the theme’s font system then you’ll have to do it within the grid. Please check this https://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/#developer_guide. You’re mainly going to work with the grid’s skin, you can also check this https://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/#skin_builder. The search styling is also under the section of Add a navigation skin on the same URL.

As for the blank templates, they are only applicable for pages and not for post. Your provided URL is a post, are you just trying to make it full-width, or hiding the sidebar as well? Or is it specific to that post or should be applied to all posts? That’s doable with few CSS lines :slight_smile:

Thanks!

Thanks i will check on the-grid developer_guide

Yes applied to all current and future post as there isnt any sidebar for the post.

Please advise further and also how do we add sidebar to them if required in the future?

Hi @kiat87,

I’m a bit confused, I thought you’re trying to apply the blank template to the post and blank template removing the sidebar. And your post already has a sidebar, but just empty. If that’s the case, you can add widgets to the main sidebar in Admin > Appearance > Widgets and it will appear there. Or if you wish custom sidebar then please check this https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/features-unlimited-sidebars/95

Thanks!

So How can i remove the sidebar section to all the current post and future post then ?

Hi @kiat87,

If you want to make the posts fullwidth, please go to Pro > Theme Options > Blog then set the Layout options to Fullwidth.

Hope this helps.

I have already set everything full-width previously. So nothing changed. @Rad

may i know how do i remove the sidebar layout of my blogpost?

Hello @kiat87,

To have a fully fullwidth site including your blog posts, please go to Pro > Theme Options > Layout And Design > Content Layout. Make sure that you have set it to Fullwidth.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the help

It works now but why is category page is not displaying the same as our homepage which is show using thegrid.

https://theparents.com/category/bonding/

Hi @kiat87,

Your home page’s grid is created with the grid, and the category page isn’t. It uses the layout provided by the theme and the items are auto-generated by Wordpress. If you wish to apply the same grid then you’ll have to do some customization. Please check this https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/using-the-grid-for-main-blog-page-and-achieve-categories-etc/39965

Thanks!

Thanks

I applied as per the instruction but

it appear and dissapear in a second

Any advise?

Hi @kiat87,

It appears you have placed it within isotope wrapper. Then please add this CSS to Theme Options > CSS

.archive .x-iso-container {
   overflow: auto !important;
    position: relative !important;
   height: auto !important;
}

It should fix it :slight_smile:

Cheers!

Hello do you mind explain what do you mean isotope warpper? where can we changed it ?

Hi @kiat87,

That’s the masonry style which you can turn it off under Theme Options > Blog > Archives > STYLE > select Standard:

Hope it helps :slight_smile:

So after i turned this off i dont need the additional CSS code is that right

Correct!

Let us know how it goes!
