The scroll, mouse wheel and trackpad don't work

Hello,

There’s a serious problem suddenly.

Scrolling through the page is impossible, both in pages and in posts. The scroll, mouse wheel and trackpad don’t work. In any browser. It is a problem of the page:

For what is this?

Also the visualization of a Slider Revolution has gone crazy, it has enlarged an image:

:worried::persevere::confounded::disappointed:
Thanks

Hi Angélica ,

Upon checking, I can see you have w3 total cache installed. It’s possible to implement a change like updates, and not have it take place because a cached version of the page or various resources are loading instead of the latest version.

Please clear your plugin cache, browser cache and system cache then check again.

Hope that helps

Thanks @paul.r

I clean the cache, I even deactivate the W3 Total Cache and the two errors remain.

The last update of cornerstone brought this error, it only happens to me at angelicamonge.com.
:persevere:

Hi There @angelicamonge

Upon testing, I can confirm the issue on my end as well. Could you please try disabling your 3rd party plugins and re-test this issue again (first disable cookie notice plugin).

If the issue is resolved, then you can activate your plugins one by one to identify which plugin cause this issue.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Good, thanks @mldarshana

I would appreciate it if you reviewed.

I have disabled third-party plugins and the Slider Revolution error is still happening:

The scroll error only disappears when I deactivate the Smoth Scroll plugin (plugin that Themeco offer) but, of course, I lose the smoothing effect:

These errors have occurred since I updated Cornerstone a few days ago.

Thanks for your help.
I think I will not update anything ever again. :expressionless:

Hi Angélica,

I double checked the case with your and my installation. The Grid works ok with my installation and not with your installation when the Smooth Scroll feature is on.

To make sure I imported the Kampala The Grid sample both on my and your installations. And tried to check the case with the Smooth Scroll on. Mine is working with no problem, but your not. You can check the Test Page which I added to your website:

https://www.angelicamonge.com/test-page/

This shows that there is no problem with the Smooth Scroll and The Grid. There must be a problem on your installation which I could not find. Maybe it is related to the fixed sidebar, I am not sure about that.

  1. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options and/or Child Theme and test the case.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

I do not have any suggestions other than steps above.

Thank you.

Many thanks @christopher.amirian

I don’t know if when you answer you read the entire conversation in a thread. Before requesting your help I deactivated third-party plugins and deleted the cache a thousand times.

I appreciate your test but I still get the same 2 errors in several computers and browsers.

Cornerstone is not playing the Slider Revolution in its work area, and neither in the browsers.

https://www.angelicamonge.com/2017/06/04/special-relationships/

This has happened to update Cornerstone, the truth is that it’s a builder that I didn’t like and still giving problems.

Is it possible to install the previous version, the previous step without updating from Cornerstone?

If someone else can and wants to help me, I appreciate it. :tiger:

Thank you

Hey @angelicamonge,

The slider preview is normal. Since X 6, third party plugin previews has been disabled. You can read the reason why here.

Regarding the problem in your post https://www.angelicamonge.com/2017/06/04/special-relationships/, you’ve set your slider to Fullscreen. Whether this worked before or not, Full Screen setup is not the slide layout to be used for content with sidebar. I’ve set your Slide Layout to Auto. See https://youtu.be/tNtGGJwnsrg

About your project page https://www.angelicamonge.com/projects/, regretfully, the Smooth Scroll plugin does not play well with pages that has dynamic displays like the grid. It also happens in your page with Layer Slider https://www.angelicamonge.com/about/. Though you can scroll, getting passed the slider will automatically scroll you back to the top.

I’ll post this in our issue tracker so our development team would be made aware. For now, we’re sorry but you need to disable the Smooth Scroll extension.

Thanks.
