The preview could not load. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing. Checking the developer console for errors could indicate what went wrong

We currently have a website which is using X Theme and Cornerstone. This website needs to be multilingual, that’s why we added Polylang Pro to the website.

Unfortunately this results in some errors, if we duplicate or synchronise the page we sometimes get the following error if we edit the content with cornerstone.

I saw that there was a similar topic about it https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/the-preview-could-not-load-error-when-attempting-to-edit-a-page-using-cornerstone/19124. Here they refer to a possible solution which will be added to the theme. Do we have the same problem? And if so will it be fixed on short notice?

Yes, there is a compatibility issue with Polylang, our Developers are working on it but we can’t give you a ETA for the same, certainly it will be fix in future.
