Te grid icon link doesn't work for me

Hi there!! I’m having a small problem I’m sure it will be easy to fix. The thing is I created a grid with “The Grid” plugin and I also created a new skin withthe skin builder. Super easy skin. Just one icon in the middle with the link icon. Then I selected the icon, and in “actions” i selected “link to” and also “custom url” as a _blank target.

The thing is I want to be able to change that url in each photo of my media gallery. How can I do that??

Thanks!!

Hi,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully It could only be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.

Thanks for understanding. Take care!

Hi!! So there is no way to use a gallery with a diferent url for every item?? Maybe with other of your plugins?? Essential grid maybe, or envira gallery?? Is just I don’tknow which one to use. It will be nice to know if one of them can help me in this.

Thanks a lot!!

Ivan

Hey Ivan,

Sorry for the confusion. My colleague didn’t know that this could be achieved. I recommend that you use Essential Grid though because the setup is much easier. Please watch the setup tutorial at https://youtu.be/Vftxe_ZPc_U

Hope that helps.

Hi!! Thanks a lot!! Then it can be achieved using “the grid”" If is that so can you let me know how?? I have already my grids created and I would love to know how to do it!!

Thanks a lot again!

Hi There,

The extension @christian_y mentioned is the Essential Grid plugin. Please take a look at this article:

And here is the setup tutorial:

Hope it helps

Ohh ok!! I thought he meant that with the grid you can also do it!! Thanks a lot!!!

Sorry for the confusion. It’s possible with The Grid. I just preferred Essential Grid and found it straight forward because I’ve tried The Grid first and thought the only option is the meta key but I was wrong. It’s equally easy if you have figured the setup. Here’s the tutorial https://youtu.be/zOkyZ7xRcZM

In summary:

1. Insert the URL to the Custom Link field in your image.

2. Set your icon to link to the Post Page.

Thanks.
