Target="_blank" not being applied

When clicking “open in a new window” for nav items or even explicitly setting a target="_blank" on a link within a text field. It shows it being saved but on the published page, the attribute is stripped out.

See here:
https://accuroemr.com/resources/partners/

On both the mailto: partners link and within the global navigation About > links are marked with the open in new window icon.

The Target attributes are gone but the “rel=‘noopener’” attribute is still applied.

Think this is a bug as they did work a few months ago…

happening in content and navigation. ALL LINKS

Hello Scott,

Thanks for writing in!

Please make sure that you have selected Open link in a new tab option under Appearance > Menus.

In case problem is still there, please try for following solutions:

  1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  2. If you have server level cache system, please get in touch with hosting company and clear the same so that updated resource is loaded.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

It was a plugin conflict with WP Accessibility. Thanks for the point in the right direction!

Glad to have you got it sorted, Scott.
