Taming the search option

Hi. I’ve got Search enabled in our menu using Customize Header (see screenshot), but when a user clicks on it to search the site, the entire browser window turns white and you’re asked to enter the search term in the middle of the screen, in a huge font.

I much prefer the way the search widget option works when placed in the Main Sidebar, where there is simply a field and you type the search term into it (see screenshot). Is there someway to get the search option in the menu to behave the same way? Thanks.

Thanks for writing around! Regretfully there is no option in X to achieve this but in Pro you can do it with Search Inline element

If you really need it then try considering upgrading to Pro to have an advanced header and footer builder.
