Squared Icons on Dropdown Menu

Dear X Team,

As you can see on this image I attached, the icons of the dropdown menu
(and the lens in the search bar) are empty. I can only see a square over there:

Is there a way to fix this?

Hi R,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Font-awesome library has been updated, so you need to make sure that you’re using the latest version of theme and plugins. If you’re using X then make sure to update both X and Cornerstone to the latest versions.

This also happens when font files are blocked by your server if you’re using any content restriction service then add the font types to be allowed through your content restriction service.

Sometimes the font awesome files are blocked by CORS you can fix this by following this guide here https://davidwalsh.name/cdn-fonts

If nothing works then please check for the following first:

1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

4. Remove custom CSS, JavaScript and deactivate your child theme and switch to parent theme (take a complete backup first).
