Slider Revolution licence missing?

I installed and activated Slider Revolution but for some reason it wont let me use any of the free templates. It tells me that I need to buy it. How is it free if I have to pay for it?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! The template import feature is only available if you have purchased the Rev Slider plugin separately. Since the plugin is bundled in the theme, you will have to manually download the template and import it in your Rev Slider dashboard. You can find all the free templates from here: https://revolution.themepunch.com/free-slider-exchange/

ah ok, so I found the template I want to use and downloaded it manually. Its called Content Tabs. So it downloads as a folder. But when I import from local it says it wants a .zip file. What was downloaded was just the folder though. So I zipped it myself and tried and I got an error saying Slider_export.txt does not exist. But I checked inside the folder and its there! What am I doing wrong?

Hi Alex,

I did take a look at all demo sliders here and none is named Content Tabs, more likely what you have downloaded is not a slider template.

Please navigate back here (https://revolution.themepunch.com/free-slider-exchange/) and choose a demo slider and download it.


That should download a .zip file that you can import to your site.

Im on the templates page and I see its called Contents Tabs. Here is a screenshot, its at the bottom middle.

Upon downloading, it is in zip file already.

There could be a problem in your computer upon downloading the file.

I have successfully uploaded the slider in my setup because I could upload the slider easily.

We could upload it from our side. Would you mind sharing us your admin credentials so we could upload it for you.

Don’t forget to set it in a secure note.

ah ok I fixed the issue, seems my web browser was automatically unzipped the folder when it downloaded it. Used a different browser and it works fine now. Thanks for the help guys!
