Slider Revolution - Edit+Shape

Hi

When editing a slide in Slider Revolution, after adding layers, I can’t seem to go back and edit them - the edit button doesn’t work. (image 1 attached).
In addition, when trying to add a shape layer, I only see one shape to choose from (image 2 attached), and there’s no option to create a shadow. Also, the text lines are not centered, but when I see the slide live on my website, they are not centered (image 3 attached).

Before giving you a solution to the issue we have to check your slider. Please send us your login details in a secure note so that we can have a look.

Before sending us the details please check the following points for a possible solution.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.
  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.
  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.
  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

I couldn’t find the problem.
The shape layer in my slider revolution still has only rectangle.

Thanks for the credentials. I see you have lots of sliders though. Would you mind giving us the exact slider name and also the URL of the page where you’ve added the slider?

I’ve checked the sliders showing up in the front-end of your site and they work fine.

Thank you for your prompt response. However, the issue is on all sliders. If you pick one and try to add a shape layer, you’ll see there’s only the option of rectangle (second image I attached), and no option to add a shadow…Also, after inserting a new layer, I can’t edit it (first image I attached).

Hi There,

Next to the Style tab, you will see the down arrow icon, click on it you will be able to edit the shape layer(background color, shadow, border color, …):

I’ve added a shape layer to the slider in secure note.

Sorry for the confusion, there is no available option but still doable in Advanced CSS section. Please go to Advanced CSS section and hit Layer button. Then add this style

-webkit-box-shadow: 10px 10px 11px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.44);
-moz-box-shadow: 10px 10px 11px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.44);
box-shadow: 10px 10px 11px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.44);

You can use this tool https://www.cssmatic.com/box-shadow to get your preferred box shadow styling. The box-shadow is different from text-shadow, which is why the shadow option isn’t included by default to layer options.
