Sidebar problem

Hi,
After I downloaded a new plugin (Easy Custom Sidebars) which I have now deactivated, I lost my “Main Sidebar” content on all pages except my Home Page - how do I get it back without having add it all separately in the widgets for each page? (Only one page and it’s children are meant to have a sidebar with different content - “Our Season” - and it’s still working fine).

Hi Jan,

Can you check on Appearance > Widgets and see if your main sidebar has content.

Then navigate to Appearance > Sidebars and make sure that the sidebars are

Hi,
Yes the main sidebar has content. Your second sentence isn’t finished - not sure what you mean - “make sure that the sidebars are”…what?
Thanks
Jan

Hi Jan,

Sorry for the incomplete sentence.

Make sure that the sidebars are set to be visible to appropriate pages.

If that doesn’t help, kindly provide us your wordpress admin login in Secure Note

Thanks

Hi,
My Main Sidebar does not appear in the list of Sidebars. I’ve sent a secure note so you can check it out.
Thanks
Jan

Hello Jan,

I have logged in to your site and I found the cause of the issue. It turns out that you have created “About Us” sidebar and you have assign this to several pages. This sidebar by the way has no widget contents (https://prnt.sc/gr0dqx) and this is replacing the main sidebar in several of your pages. If you are not using this sidebar, you can always remove this. Please go to Appearance > Sidebars and delete or unchecked the pages so that the default sidebar will display.

Hope this explains it.

Thank you so much!!
It’s sometimes the little mistakes that cause big headaches! So simple really :grinning:
