Show Post Title

Hello again! I must have done something to cause my post title not to display. I turned off page title because it was adding a layer to my menu that I did not want.

.x-header-landmark {
display: none;
}

I cannot figure out what I have done to my post titles. :thinking:

Any ideas?

Hi there,

The Post Title is inside the x-header-landmark which you disabled. The title in our theme is going inside that section, you need to keep that layer displaying.

I suggest that you give us more information about the reason you added the CSS code with the URL to check and we may be able to suggest you a better way to get around the problem you are facing.

Thank you.

Hi, thanks for responding so quickly.

Here’s why I added the code:

But still, even though I have removed it, my titles do not show:

Thanks!

Hi there,

Now I see what you mean. The thing is that your code is not related to the effect you see. Actually, you used the Ethos stack. The Ethos stack does not have a title in the blog posts. Here is a sample of the Ethos demo blog page:

As you can see there is no title. You will need to customize the theme to be able to add a title to Ethos blog posts. To do so please kindly follow this thread steps:

Thank you.

But look here, where I have also used Ethos:

there is a title there…

Hi there,

I am not sure why it is showing on the other website may be the customization also is done there. Kindly follow the instructions I suggested and if you still have problems kindly get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Well, I will kindly do what you ask, but given that I designed both sites, I know what customization I have done. And it is exactly the same on my other site. All titles appeared without my customizing anything.

This is strangely inconsistent.

Okay, I just followed your sample link and there is a title there. It says, “Answer it Here”

Ah yes, you are right, the title is the featured image. mmm…

I double checked your website and found out that the title is showing but the problem is it is white. And as the background of that section is white either you do not see the title.

Would you please kindly go to X > Launch > Options > Typography > Headings and set the Headings color to something other than white?

That should be the cause of issue, sorry for the confustion.

Ah, yes that’s it! I changed the color so it would show up against my background.

thanks for looking into that for me!

Anytime :slight_smile: glad that we could be of a help.
