Setup: Product Validation

Hi

Having scoured the Knowledge Base and read some of the associated help links
I followed the Setup: Product Validation procedure however, I get the following error message:
We’ve checked your code, but it doesn’t appear to be a valid license. Please double check the code and try again.

The site I used Theme X on initially is no longer administered by me, so I changed the assignation to a new site www.worldfeminaunion.org. That appears to have been accepted however when I try validating the theme from within the WP dashboard of the new site I get the aforementioned error message.

Any help gratefully received.
Brendan

Hi @annoici,

Thanks for writing in.

In this case, please share us your admin credentials and Validation code so we could try the code.

Don’t forget to set it in a secure note.

Thanks.

Hi Nico

I sent the login details in a secure note but I think it is attached to the first message so I hope you can retrieve it.

Brendan

Hello @annoici,

Thanks for sharing the details.

Upon visiting the admin URL I a getting following error message. Please see screenshot.

Error occurred: 403 - forbidden
Apache Server at: d1205388-97683.blacknighthosting.com

I suggest you to take a look at following article for some pointers on resolving the error message.

Thanks.

Hi Prasant I am a bit confused by your last reply. Are you saying you attempted unsuccessfully to log in and got the 403 error? I created a new user and PW for an administrator if you want to try that.
The details are in the note.
Regards
Brendan

Hi @annoici,

That’s not related to login but security, and it’s blocking access to your login page. Perhaps you can contact your hosting provider to see why it’s being blocked.

Thanks!

Hi

I contacted my ISP and paste their response below

Depending on where this developer is located, you will need to whitelist them on your website through the .htaccess file.

Replace the IE in the example below with the 2-letter country code from this list: http://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/legacy/codes/iso3166/

Whitelist Countries

SetEnvIf GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE IE Whitelist

If you can provide your Account ID, the website address and the country that your developer is trying to access the site from, we can do this for you.

Hi @annoici

I’ve checked this issue and I can see you are trying to validate Pro theme copy with X theme licence code, hence it gives you "it doesn't appear to be a valid license" message.

Please check the screenshot I’ve shared in the Secure Note.

Thanks.

Thank you, it seems to be sorted now.

You are welcome
