Server hangup on the pro theme installation

Hi,
I keep getting ‘server hangup’ once I click on the ‘install’ button.
The zip its the original from my Theme.co Dashboard

Your web host and/or WordPress setup probably does not allow a 7 MB file upload. Please ask your web host to increase the upload limit. Otherwise, you would need to use the manual install method listed here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-themes/

While i manual installed the theme I was not able to see all the functionality, e.g. I didn’t see the top bar ‘Pro’ and didn’t see all the settings.

You mean the Pro settings in the WP Admin panel? If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification the issues you’re having (perhaps some screenshots would be very helpful), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

In the mean time please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post with a little more clarification to follow up the case.
