Sections not visible anymore inside Cornerstone Editor

Hi there,
i have changed my site from http to https - in order to supply the corrdct oinks and image sources, I made a search and Replace for http:// to https:// outside the cornerstone editor.
Since this the site stil ldisplays correctly outside the editor, but I cannot edit the pages anymore wiith conrerstone editor - ist is just showing no sections.
Please advise to get rid of this problem.
Best Regards
Roland

Hi rocknrole,

Please roll back your search and replace, back up your website and follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  3. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options and/or Child Theme and test the case.
  4. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  5. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.
  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

For the search and replace I suggest that you use this plugin.

Hi Christopher,
I used the plugin “Velvet Blues Update URLs” to change links from http to https.
I tried your approach without any success.
I even uninstalled W3 Total Cache - no success.

The Editor does not load any sections.

What did i try further:
I just added the following text to the page Content outside Cornerstone - and it did not load the section also:

[cs_content]
[cs_section parallax="false" separator_top_type="none" separator_top_height="50px" separator_top_angle_point="50" separator_bottom_type="none" separator_bottom_height="50px" separator_bottom_angle_point="50" style="margin: 0px;padding: 0;"]
[cs_row inner_container="true" marginless_columns="false" style="margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;"]
[cs_column bg_color="hsl(207, 23%, 36%)" fade="false" fade_animation="in" fade_animation_offset="45px" fade_duration="750" type="1/2" style="padding: 0px;"]
[/cs_column]
[/cs_row]
[/cs_section]
[/cs_content]

Any more ideas?

Hi,
I just added a secure note to my last reply with the infos you requested.

Hi There,

The sections are loading fine on my end(with the shortcodes in the text tab):

It seems the content builder is corrupted. Could you please create a new page and add the sections again?

Let us know how it goes!

Hi,
as I told before - the page is loading fine in the frontend and also in the customizer.
IT DOES NOT LOAD CORRECTLY WITHIN CORNERSTONE EDITOR!

Adding the content to a brand new page dioes not solve the problem - this ist what I alredy tried before.
Please advise.

Hi There,

It seems that your referenced page/post is corrupted (see secure note). This usually happens if you have edited outside Cornerstone. The best way to recover it using your recent backup.

Could you please try again by restoring your backup and see if that helps.

Thanks!

Hi
if I restore a backup the page is loading.
But I need to change all links from http to https - so if I do this the page is not loading inside Cornerstone anymore.
Same thing happens if I go to a page revision.
Please advise.

Hi @rocknrole,

Please avoid using the revision, it could fail and will result to corrupted data. It’s only recommended for the changes made in the editor. It should work but could fail.

I checked and confirmed that the data is already corrupted, the only solution, for now, is restoring the site’s database. What plugin did you use for string replacement? We recommend Better Search Replace plugin and Velvet Blues as other plugins could cause serialized data corruption.

Thanks!
