Sections in Cornerstone won't show up

Hey there,

While I am using Cornerstone I can’t insert any sections to the edited page. The section box simply won’t show up. I’ve already tried different things:

  • X>Settings Clear Style Cache
  • Test for a plugin conflict
  • removed custom css and javascript
  • reset ht.access by renaming it to .htacess-bal and saved changes in Settings>Permalinks

My PHP Memory Limit is okay and I don’t use any CDN.

Hi,

Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)

You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

Please also check that your theme and plugin versions are compatible.

Hey Paul,

thanks for your fast reply.

My Cornerstone is up to date on version 3.1.6 and my theme on 6.1.6, so everything should be okay.

I just bought X and installed Cornerstone a few days ago and it did not work right from the beginning.

Please provide following information:
Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

Hi,

It was the W3 total cache plugin that was causing the issue.

I excluded cornerstone js files from minification and cornerstone now loads without issues.

Kindly check in your end.

Thanks for taking a look!

But it still doesn’t work for me:

I am able to insert some sections, but they don’t show up on the right side and so I’m not able to insert elements. Even if I deactivate W3 Total Cache, it doesn’t work.

Maybe it’s just me being stupid, I’m sorry!

HI There,

This is might be due to the SSL certificate in your server. The certificate hasn’t configured properly.

Please check this for HTTPS related issue.

or you can contact your hosting provider for that.

Please fix this HTTPS issue the cornerstone will work.

Hi There,

I have tested this issue further and I see the following error in console log when loading Cornerstone.

Preview timeout

Could you please try increasing your PHP max script execution time to 120 or a higher and see if that helps. You can follow this guide here (https://www.simplified.guide/php/increase-max-execution-time).

Hey there,

I just solved the problem.

My Hosting is provided by Plesk I have installed wordpress with one klick on the Plesk Dashbord. Something went wrong during this process, so I set up wordpress manually and downloaded the theme again.

Everythings working no without any problems.
