Safari and chrome show my pages differently

hey. for some reason, the formatting that I’m doing on this page in Safari (and other pages within my site) are showing up differently on Safari and Chrome. I’m not getting the backgrounds on Chrome and am wondering why this is happening

Hello @Peter_Fae,

Thanks for writing in! :slight_smile:

Are you referring to a parallax effect on your background? Please clarify by providing us steps on where your seeing the issue.

Thank you.

no. I’m referring to the starry background coming up white on chrome.

Hi @Peter_Fae,

I could see Mixed content errors. Images could not be loaded because of this.

Under Settings > General please make sure that the site address and WordPress address URL have HTTPS. https://cloudup.com/c77hOw7pwlv

Another solution is to re-upload your images again.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Is not have that option on screen

CloudApp

I"n just not getting two options under Settings --> General

Hello There,

Since you are using Multi site set up, you can change your site url and WordPress address url settings in My Sites > Network Admin > Sites. You may need to edit the site first before you can check and changed the settings. If in any case, you cannot change it, you might need to force it by editing your wp-config.php file adding this:

define('WP_HOME','http://example.com');
define('WP_SITEURL','http://example.com');

The example domain must be replaced with your real domain name.

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I checked the case and the problem is not that, it is the backstretch Javascript library problem:

I wonder if you used a 3rs party plugin to add the background or you used the theme Options? Would you please kindly get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using a Secure Note and tell us how you add the background image to follow up the case?

Thank you

Both the SFTP login and the normal Wordpress login are in the secure note above. I have not used a 3rd party background in quite a long time on the site, and barely if ever in other cases. I have deleted most plugins and restored so I am unsure what is causing this.

Hello there,

I’ve deactivated all your plugins and can confirm that it isn’t the cause for another backstretch library to load. I can still see the backstretch script and div in Inspect Element, even if it was deactivated.

Furthermore, I can confirm that the background image was properly set on the row you’ve added it in.

Can you give us a screenshot image of the issue on your end?

Thank you.
