Revolution Slider Licence

Hi, the Revolution Slider does not work, i see its included in the theme but its not working at all, how can i fix this ?

Hello @Josephsmc,

Thanks for writing in!

Can you please share the details of problem you are facing? Please note that the bundled version of Revolution slider does not require licence key.

Thanks.

It sounds like I have the same problem. Slider Revolution was working perfectly for months. It did not require an license key. I simply installed/activated it from the list of plugins. Right now, in the Slider Revolution homepage within WordPress, it tells me that the plugin is not activated. However, in my plugins list, it shows that it is activated and also in the Slider Revolution list of plugins. I can’t edit anything within the slide that I created. I have version 5.4.5.2 and there are no System Requirements issues.

Hi There,

You can freely ignore the plugin message asking to activate it.

BUT this issue that you are mentioning does not seem to be related at all with this, could you open a new thread explain your situation briefly and provide your login credentials in secure note?

Thanks

I can’t use the slider as well. It seems that whatever I try to do activation is required. Then I’m getting an info that I don’t need to activate if the slider is included in the demo. It’s cryptic and presents itself as a vicious loop. Can you please supply a simple instruction how to use this slider with your theme?

Hi there,

The documentation about the slider is available here https://www.themepunch.com/revsliderjquery-doc/slider-revolution-jquery-5-x-documentation/ and https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/extension-revolution-slider/71

And you may check the information here https://www.themepunch.com/support-center/ about the bundled plugin.

And maybe, the issue on your end is corrupted data, with corrupted data, you can’t really edit your slider. The purpose of activating the license is to get updates and support directly from them (Themepunch) but you don’t need it since we’ll provide the updates.

Maybe what we need to do is get the details of the issue, like what is not working and what you’re trying to do. Please provide a video recording, or you may start a new thread regarding this and provide your login credentials in a secure note. Then we’ll check it and continue or decide to what to do next.

Thanks.

I can’t find a simple tutorial that would show step by step how to create a video background like you have in your ethos3 demo. In the meantime I found a very good tutorial on how to achieve the same effect using divi, so I probably make a switch. I looked at the tutorial https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/main-background/?tab=html5video and I tried to implement video background using two techniques but none of them worked for me. It might be that it’s a bug but I’m not sure why it would be possible as it is all happening on a fresh WordPress install. If you can let me have a link to a simple video tutorial that guides through the steps that would be great. Otherwise I found one that shows exactly what I want to achieve but with divi theme.

Hi there,

I see, what you’re trying to copy is Ethos 3 demo, it’s not Revslider alone, but background video feature of the theme. Please check this https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/meta-options-pages/144 and go to section Slider Page Meta Options. It should allow you to assign Revslider, but also allow you to add Background video as well as Scroll Bottom Anchor

Ethos 3 Has a background video, revslider, and scroll bottom anchor. With the condition that your slider should have the transparent background to allow see-through video. In Ethos 3’s slider, it only contains text layer in the middle.

All of these are available from our knowledge base.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

Thank you for your help.

It nearly works but in Ethos 3 demo I can see at the bottom of the first page Ethos and the main menu. After following your advise the last thing I see on the webpage is the arrow of scroll bottom anchor (as I positioned it at the bottom center.

How can I make the primary menu appear at the bottom of the first webpage (the one with the video)?

Thanks,

Jay

Hi there,

Instead of adding your slider below-masthead, you should add it above-masthead. That slider settings meta box has two sections, you may be configured the below-masthead slider.

And if you wish your navigation sit at the bottom touching the browser bottom edge, you will have to edit your slider and go to its settings, then switch your Slide Layout to full-screen and under Increase/Decrease Fullscreen Height (Optional) option, add .masthead or .x-masthead (try them both) as containers.

Hope this helps.
