I have managed to turn off the page titles but now want to remove the space as well. Any ideas on how I can do that?

Thank you for writing in, please use any of the Blank - No Container or Blank - Container page template, these templates will not output a title at all.
If that did not work, please provide us the site URL and login credentials in a Secure note so we can take a closer look.
