RE: Search result not showing if not logged in

Hello!

We have followed your instructions from this topic: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/search-result-not-showing-if-not-logged-in/60929, that the PRO theme should be updated to latest version to avoid incompatibility issues. But even though we have updated the theme (we currently initiated the update in the staging site), the search results still doesn’t show up if not logged in.

Staging link: http://d5b.7d7.myftpupload.com/?s=MobilePower (you can see from this link that results says nothing to show)
Screenshot: http://prntscr.com/on2hoe (in this screenshot you can see there is a result when logged in if ‘mobilepower’ is searched)

Kindly advise.

Thanks!

Hello Martin,

Thanks for writing in!

Do you have any custom php code added to the site? This could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look?

To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Thank you.

Hello,

We don’t think we’ve added a custom php code to the site. We’ve created a login credential for you to use.

details removed

Thank you!

Hi Martin,

I was able to logged in and confirmed that the issue exists in your site. I could not find any cause of this issue.

By the way, please make sure that everything is up to date. Out dated theme or plugins usually creates conflict and issues in a site.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hey Martin,

I deactivated all plugins except WooCommerce and the product showed in search results both when logged in and logged out. This means that one of the third-party plugins is causing the issue.

Please test the third-party plugins you’ve installed in your site. This is not an issue with our theme.

Thanks.

Hello @christian_y!

Thank you for checking things out. We’ve found out that the “Whole Sale Prices” plugin is causing the issue. When deactivated, the search results now shows up.

Glad to hear that.
