Product page

I’m creating a product page, I’ve set up products in woocommerce and am adding them to my page using text modules the [product ID:123] and so on. Problem I have is even though I’m adding different product numbers it keeps bringing up the same product no matter what number it is I put in. Can anyone help with this? Thanks Rob

Hello @Rob_G33,

Thanks for asking.

As of now interpreting the details you have shared I can think of three possibilities.

  1. Data might be loaded from cache. I suggest you to clear site and browser cache.
  2. You might be using wrong product id. Though you have shared in the ticket that product Id is changed but I would suggest you to take a look at product id again. You can take a look at following article. https://bobwp.com/find-product-id-woocommerce/
  3. You might be using a unsupported version of WooCommerce. As of today the supported version of WooCommerce is 3.4.0. Please make sure you are using supported version of WooCommerce.

You can take a look at version compatibility guide for more information.

Thanks.

Thank you for your reply, how do you clear the site cache? On one note regarding product ID I can entrant number I wish including one not even related to one of my products and it will still show he same product in the text field. Not sure if that may help you to help me
I’m using the most up to date version of woocommerce which I updated on the 5/6/2018

Thanks Rob

Hi @Rob_G33,

You could check the link below on how to clear site cache.

The version that you should have for woocommerce is in the image below:

Hope it helps.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Thank you for that I’ll try that. All I know is I’m running the most up to date woocommerce so not sure if xtheme supports that as of yet. Is it easy enough to revert back to an older version of woocommerce or will that cause me further problems?

Kind regards

Rob

I am using version 3.4.2 of woocommerce. This is the latest update for woocommerce so I’m guessing xtheme doesn’t support this yet.

Hello @Rob_G33,

Thanks for updating the thread.

Yes, as of today the supported version of WooCommerce is 3.4.0. I suggest you to downgrade to the supported version and using unsupported version of WooCommerce can create compatibility issues. To be on the safer side, I suggest you to take a complete site backup before downgrading WooCommerce.

To downgrade WooCommerce, please walkthrough below steps:

  1. Deactivate WooCommerce from Plugins > Installed Plugins. Make sure not to delete WooCommerce plugin.
  2. Download WooCoomerce 3.4.0 from following source. https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/#developers
  3. Login to your hosting through FTP or Hosting Panel
  4. Navigate under wp-content/plugins/woocommerce directory
  5. Replace the existing files with that newly extracted
  6. Activate WooCommerce from Plugins > Installed Plugins.

You can get started with FTP using following article:

To backup WordPress you can take a look at following article:

Thanks.
